CHEMICAL
Bronze is used for valves, pump chambers and vessels subject to saturated steam pressure (up to 225°C), slide valves, gate valves, bushings, bearings, protective liners, seats and obturators for high-pressure valves.
SHIPBUILDING
Bronze is used for propeller shaft liners, bushings, bearings, propellers, screws, bolts, propeller shaft supports, rudders, flanges and fittings for ships, aft heads and stuffing boxes, sleeves, valves, filters, steam flanges and fittings, helical crowns, tube sheets, locking nuts.
MINING
Bronze is used for pipe flanges, gate valves, guide bushes for pistons, screws, bolts, cooling systems, pumps and valves for mining water, parts exposed to high wear and/or corrosion.
ENERGY
Bronze is used for pipe flanges, vessels subject to saturated steam pressure (up to 225°C), valves and gate valves, clamps, pump bodies and impellers, valve seats and stems, turbine parts and valves, O-rings for steam, impeller bodies for pumps, electric terminals, brush holders.
OIL AND GAS
Bronze is used for valves, condenser pump parts and not highly stressed bearings, pipe flanges, gate valves, bearings, pipes for off-shore platforms, impellers, guide bushes for pistons, protective liners, seats and obturators for high-pressure valves, cooling systems, centrifugal pumps, vacuum pumps, hydro-extractors, high- pressure castings.
FOOD AND HEALTHCARE
Bronze is used for food moulds, parts of food production machines, dies, bearings, valves, taps, fittings, bolts, pump bodies and impellers for slightly acidic water and for oenological use.
WATER TREATMENT
Bronze is used for filters, construction of centrifugal pumps or axial flow pumps, hydraulic fittings, protective liners, seats and obturators for high-pressure valves, screws, bolts, impeller bodies for pumps, heat exchangers.
MECHANICAL ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION
Bronze is used for the construction of brasses, bushes and bearings, worm screws, valves and gate valves, bushings, mechanical sliding bodies. Components for motors in general: connecting rods, levers, rocking levers and forks for gearboxes. Slewing rings and thrust washers, female screws, gears and worm wheels, sliding plates and saddles. Bushings for tracks and articulated joints for earthmoving equipment. Flat guides and wear jibs for large machine tools, half nuts, plates and shoes for steel plants, also exposed to high temperatures, screws, bolts, helical worm gearboxes, cages for bearings, transmission gearboxes, machine parts for the paper industry.
METAL FORGING AND PLASTIC MOULDING
Bronze is used for drawing dies, stainless steel dies, matrices, punches, pressure bars, bushes for press toggles, brasses and standardised elements.
ART AND CIVIL WORKS
Bronze is used for bass-reliefs, haut-reliefs, statues, monuments, fountains, busts, plates, church doors, benches, decorative objects in general, handles, hinges, decorative friezes for furniture, lights and tables.
